Printed marketing to help support outdoor events

Post Views 71

It feels safe to finally put away woolly jumpers and dust off our sandals. Summer is here! Living on the south coast means we enjoy some of the best weather in the British Isles and this means a whole range of outdoor summer events. If you are putting on an event this year, you will want to make sure it is marketed well and that you are visible. Read on to find out more about how printing and offline marketing can help you.

Outdoor cinema

The Mountbatten Centre has a real treat for us in July with a series of classic films as part of its outdoor cinema experience. Kicking things off on Friday, July 8th it’s Westside Story a classic musical loved by all. This is followed by Mamma Mia the following night and the Rocky Horror Picture show on Sunday 10th. The idea of watching a film under the stars is quite romantic but most of us are realistic about the British weather. Always wise to pack a waterproof just in case the weather takes a turn. You could always put on your own outdoor cinema experience with a projector and a sheet cleverly draped in your garden. If you’re a small business looking to draw some attention to yourselves, why not think about a pop-up event in your local community centre or village hall? You would need to market this with posters, flyers, leaflets, and tickets for the event. A clever way to use printed marketing to draw attention to your online business is to include a QR code or a discount on your printed literature that potential customers can use online.

Events in Portsmouth and Southsea

Why not explore local events such as the Portsmouth International Kite Festival or the Southsea Food Festival. The Southsea Food Festival is running on the 16th and 17th of July. With over 40 food and drinks stalls and a host of local restaurants and cafes displaying their ways, how can you stand out in a busy environment with other businesses selling similar products? Think about the approach to the festival, can you use lamppost banners or an Aboard to point the way to your stand? Do you have a permanent cafe or restaurant where you could use counter stands and other forms of printed marketing to talk about your presence at the food festival? What about having a couple of people positioned on the approach handing out flyers or leaflets tell potential customers where you are and perhaps what food or drink samples, they can look forward to enjoying when they find your stall?

As they approach your stand it needs to have some serious impact, our outdoor PVC banners and flags will ensure visitors can spot your brand easily.

Whether you are putting on a play, music gig, or festival or thinking about pop-up food stand at any Portsmouth or Hampshire-based outdoor events this summer, Headline Printers have got everything you need to make sure you get the footfall and interest you deserve.
